Student Startup and Innovation Policy
The Government of Gujarat's policy supports startups and innovation, assisting individuals and institutions like universities and R&D centers. These institutions also mentor innovators, boosting the economy's technological performance.
Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre
IPFC for MSMEs, established at ni-msme in August 2009, provides consultancy on trademarks, copyrights, patents, and more. It offers incentives for national and international patents and geographical indications.
IDEA Lab
AICTE-IDEA Labs enhance STEM learning and hands-on experience, promoting skills like critical thinking and creativity. They empower students and faculty for multidisciplinary education and research.
MIC
The Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell fosters innovation in Higher Education Institutions nationwide. It creates an ecosystem from idea generation to successful startups and designs a ranking system for innovative institutions.
Design Innovation Centre
The Gujarat Technological University's Design Innovation Centre, funded by the Ministry of Education in May 2018, provides a platform for students, faculty, and researchers to transform their ideas into design innovations.
NSTEDB
Established in 1982, the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) promotes self-employment and innovation among S&T professionals, under the Department of Science & Technology.

So we at GIC nurture the soft skills and talent of the students to lead their imagination in a proper way.
GIC has been designed to establish close bonding between industries, entrepreneur and students to make research and development at the University relevant to the needs of industries at national and international levels.
It aims to involve the industries, along with the students and faculty members, in an innovation campaign, whereby GTU rejuvenates technology education and develops quality research at the University and helps create a culture of design, new and improved products and processes in our industry.
